What do good teachers do when preparing and managing their classroom lessons? How does the Marzano Indicator scale and background information help in planning for your classroom rules and procedures? Please cite information from your reading and viewing - using quotes and page numbers, name of video - to define your response.

How can you apply your knowledge of classroom organization and management skills - and specifically, the principles and components of classroom indicators as described by Marzano - to your the preparation of your 2 Microteaching assignments for your Professional Learning Community? What knowledge and understanding of these concepts - Domains of Learning, Instructional Objectives, Direct Teaching, Classroom Lesson Preparation, Classroom Presentation , Classroom Rules and Procedures - can you apply to the preparation and instruction of your own EDG 4410 Microteach lessons?

1. Sample syllabus/letter/newsletter in your content area and respective rubric. You will be given time to start developing this assignment during class, so you might want to bring your laptop.
Each PLC will be viewing some classroom management videos on your laptop or other mobile device during a simulated pre-planning orientation for first-year teachers. You will be given the opportunity to type responses directly into the Welcome, First-Year Teachers! handout or hand write your responses on this handout. If you think you might like to type your responses, bring your laptop.
You will be given time to start writing your syllabus/letter/newsletter. If you want to make use of this time to start typing up this assignment, bring your laptop.
